I'm heading to Oulton Park this weekend not really fussed what the weather does. Its nicer for everyone if its dry but right now i've got such good feel on the bike so the weather can do what it likes.
Just hope they turn the lights out a little quicker, lol, they were a bit too slow for me at Thruxton.

I mentioned the other day that my buddy will race in one of the support races during Shanghai MotoGP. Well that is not going to happen ... Chinese organizers (or officials, who knows) cancelled all the support races ... The pre-Olympics paranoia in China is reaching new heights ...

Are they allowed to just cancel the support races? Does this affect the 125 and 250cc motGP races do you know?

I am not sure if they are allowed but even if they were not, that means nothing in China ... I heard that this is the last time the MotoGP race is held there anyway (although the contract was for longer)... I don't think this affects 125 and 250cc races, only the support races.

From what I heard there was a talk about the whole event not going ahead as some MotoGP (or 125, 250) racers thought about boycotting the race. But it goes ahead as planned minus the support races. In the eyes of China the less foreigners inside the country now the less chance of some embarassment or trouble... How they plan to handle this during the Olympics that I have no idea :-)

I'm not really a fan of the Olympics but it seems odd that a country that is dead set against the prying eyes of outsiders hosting events like the Olympics and MotoGP.

McAleer bags handful of Academy Cup points at Knockhill

Teenager Nicole McAleer put the disastrous Oulton Park race weekend firmly behind her when she got a good start of the line at Knockhill during the Relentless 125 GP race; however this wasn’t to be as the race only lasted one lap when two riders collided, both were unhurt. On the rerun McAleer wasn’t able to [...]
